Maria Malmgren works with people, teams and organizations to help create deep, values-aligned, sustained change. She is a certified life, professional and team coach, and a PCC with the International Coaching Federation, and has over 13 years of coaching experience. Maria has worked in a variety of contexts (hospitality, banking, accounting, local government, administration, an Indigenous-led organization and professional services), with for-profit and for-benefit organizations. Maria’s career has focused on individual and organizational development, culture change management, people services (recruitment, performance management and coaching) and organizational administration, project and event coordination. She has experience and familiarity with working at all levels of an organization from front line staff, manager, director, to board member (operational and governance) and consultant.
Maria is based on the west coast of Canada, in Vancouver and Gabriola Island, British Columbia.

Over her career, Maria has come to appreciate the immense gifts of re-imagining and re-defining oneself, as required by one’s personal growth and/or professional wellbeing. As with many coaches, Maria was coaching before she understood what it was. Her ability to sense an emerging or present issue in people, teams and organizations has helped Maria quickly identify what really matters to clients and focus the conversation on core issues. Maria understands the importance of clients having a clearly defined vision so they know where they are going and she supports clients’ professional and personal journeys from a strengths and values based approach. As importantly, Maria works with clients to identify the internal and external blocks that may be holding up their progress.
